About Me:

I was born in New York City in 1973 and raised in New Rochelle, NY.  I currently live in Manhattan.

Launched on February 5th, 2007, Sportscasters.info is my first major project since ShutupTimMcCarver.com.  The "elevator pitch" for the site is that it is the IMDB for sportscasters and sportscasting.  As of mid-February 2007 the site had over 330 pages of sportscaster bios.

With the Sportscaster Forums I want the site to become the internet water cooler where people can come together and talk about not just last nights game but also that great call by Marv in overtime or how annoying Scooter the animated baseball is on FOX.

This website is both a source or pride and embarrassment for me.  On the one hand I have created something that attracts thousands of visitors every year.  It has been written about in the New York times, Stuff Magazine online and Salon.com as well as countless other places and I have been interviewed by reporters from all around the country.  It also gives people a place to vent about Tim McCarver which, based on emails I get at the site is sorely needed by many.

On the other hand it doesn't feel right for my greatest accomplishment to be a website based on mocking another person.  Sure he's a public figure and there certainly is a place for sites like mine to exist but I like to think I'm better than that.

I maintain the site for two reasons.  One, because I have an ego and it's fun seeing my name and my website referred to in countless places across the internet.  And two, because I can leverage the popularity of the site to draw attention to other projects I may do in the future.
